Some babies are just alert, it doesn’t matter that I am a master baby soother/handler and can usually keep those tiny bundles asleep and cozy 90% of the time. This guy was awake, whether we hit it at an alert time of day, or if he is just taking in the world around him more than most, I don’t know. What I love about alert babies is that I can get plenty of eye open shots that parents love, what’s challenging is that I can’t get them into every single squishy and adorable position that parents are hoping for. Lauren and I have a plan of attack for our completely asleep newborns and an alternate plan for our babies that are more awake and unsettled. It doesn’t matter what your baby is doing that day, the pictures are always wonderful! We are professionals, we got this! 😉
