Welcome baby Shep! We stuck with neutrals, shades of blue and white! Shep’s big brother is under 2, which can make sibling photos super tricky! I like to start with young siblings on the bed. It’s a low key, easy way to get them to sit near the baby and maybe, if I’m super lucky, actually interact with the little bundle that has just flopped their world upside down. Sometimes the bed photos are the only ones I can get of the siblings together. If they older sibling is just losing their mind, then we may have to just do family photos where they are with mom and dad and more comfortable. I go into every one of these with an open mind and a game plan for different scenarios. I move very fast, I know if something is not working and I’m not going to waste 45 minutes of your session forcing it. I like to keep it fast paced, relaxed and happy. Crying toddlers do not make beautiful portraits! So just know, I roll with the punches and quickly make adjustments if it’s not going well. Don’t be afraid to bribe haha! We have a treasure chest full of prizes and lots of candies and cookies! Just don’t feed them m&ms…brown teeth are not a good look! Anyway, introducing Shep and big brother Graham!
