This is baby Gemma. Her mom wanted some mermaid and ocean images to match her tropical nursery and to represent the beach that they love so much. She brought in lots of props for me to choose from, mermaid outfit, a grass skirt, ocean headbands, a bikini, shells and starfish. Props can really make an image awesome or really make it a cheese fest. There is such a fine line between tastefully and beautifully done and goofy. Of course they loved all of these and so did I! It’s so fun for me to try something new and to bring someone’s idea to life. There were a few times during the session that I wasn’t sure that Gemma was going to be sleepy and content enough to use some of these props, but I pulled out all my soothing skills and we got it done! Hooray!
