I was fortunate enough to get to attend Keri Meyers’ newborn workshop in her home studio in Duvall, WA. She has years of knowledge and expertise to share and I soaked it all in. There is so much that goes into newborn photography, it’s not just stick a baby on a blanket and start shooting. There is tons of love and preparation that goes into every singe shoot. From the fabrics, props, headbands, hats and wraps, to the soothing of the baby, to the safety of the baby, to the posing, to photographing the baby, it’s a serious art form. I love photographing newborns and this workshop took my talent to the next level. I think you will see that in my newborn shoots from now on. Keri is one heck of a mentor! My studio does not have natural lighting, but I am in the process of building one that has both natural and studio lighting, more on that later 🙂
