The Hanckes are from the Rockwall area, so naturally they like to shoot by their house. Although we have locations we know and love to shoot all over the Dallas Fort Worth area, Rockwall is not a spot I have scoped out. I always leave it up to Mandy to find her own locations for their sessions and she nails it every time! This is both risky and exciting for me! It’s kind of a gamble since photographers see beauty and light differently than those who aren’t photographers. A spot that a client thinks is beautiful may not photograph well or be in the completely wrong light. As usual, Mandy chose a beautifully lit location with the most amazing tree and their family session ended up being one of my favorites of the fall.
