Life’s a Beach!
We kind of have a beach theme going on with the Walther’s maternity sessions. The first and second maternity sessions were done at the same beach area in Grapevine, which is now totally destroyed and looks so different than it did years ago. Ever since that beach flooded and took on a whole new less picturesque look, I have been on a hunt for something similar. My clients absolutely love this location and I felt like I struck gold when I found it!
One of the main reasons they like to shoot near water, is so that they can write the baby’s name in the sand. This is also a tradition. They didn’t know whether they were having a boy or a girl this time, so we wrote two names in the sand with the rest of the family’s feet in the image. Well that mystery baby was born a couple of months ago and it was a boy! His name is Boyd and he is a perfect fit for this family!
I have documented every little milestone from Dayme’s first pregnancy all the way to the last shoot we did which was her lifestyle newborn session in her gorgeous Dallas home. Watching them grow in front of my lens has been so much fun and I look forward to every single session with them.
Dayme does pregnancy so well and it was especially important to her to document this baby belly as she knew it would be her last. Bittersweet photos for sure.
