The location was chosen, the outfits were great, the family was ready for photos. Lauren and I pulled into the location and low and behold they had practically shut down the whole place for some hay ride festival. OH. NO.
Our normal spot we love was not even sort of available to get to. We had to think and act fast. As a photographer my brain is always thinking about things with a photographer’s perspective. How is the light, would this spot work right for photos, is it visually interesting, is it safe, etc.
Since I am constantly assessing spots as potential photo locations, it’s pretty easy to find another one in a short amount of time. So that is exactly what we did.
We cruised around to another area and I loved what I saw, so we went with it!
They were so easy going and didn’t mind one bit that the plan was changed at the last minute.
And that attitude is exactly what you need to have a beautiful and successful family photo session! Go with the flow!
