Every year Lauren and I take great time and care selecting our bluebonnet mini session location. We have our tried and true spots that we know photograph well, but there are a bunch of what ifs. What if they don’t grow there this year? What if there are so many other photographers there that we become super irritated? What if they become trampled? Etc. So last season, we drove around forever and came across a field that had the right lighting, didn’t have too many ugly things to edit out and it worked great! This picture of my three daughters and my 12 year old lab, Cricket, means so much to me! It’s hanging in an organic bloom frame on my daughter’s wall and my mom also got a large canvas of it for over her fireplace. Bluebonnets are some of my absolute favorite images of the year!
