Meet Dayme, pronounced Day-me, she brought her 8 month old Boyd in for some classic baby photos! Price and Annabell tagged along and we had a quick and adorable mommy and me/sitter session. Does life with three kids plus owning a successful interior design business sound like a lot to have on your plate? Oh and not to mention working for the Texas Tech alumni association, hello overachiever!! Well Dayme does it with style and grace and a care free attitude, she is insanely talented and no project is too big or too small for this interior guru!
Tell us about yourself:
I’m a mom of three littles obsessed with design. Everything from taking a wall down to perfectly chopping pillows.
Describe your design style:
Simple, light and bright.
Where do you find inspiration?:
I love looking at beach houses on every coast – Hamptons, 30A and Southern California homes are my favorite.
What is your favorite recent project?:
A complete gut job I helped with. It’s a traditional older home and we just took it above and beyond it’s potential. Seeing a project from start to finish is the best!
What are your favorite rooms to design?:
Kid’s spaces – This is where I started and I think it’s still my favorite. They don’t have to be serious and you don’t have to invest a ton of money like a kitchen or bath.
How do you keep current with the new trends?: Instagram has helped so much, but it can also be the devil. Seeing what others are doing helps to see what trends are popular but also pushes me to go even further.
What are your favorite brands and places to show for all things home?:
Not sure I can pick just one, but I do love Circa Lighting, like everyone else out there! I’ve always been a Stray Dog Designs fan as well – artichoke lamp for the win!
