This is my own sweet daughter Blake. She is about to turn five. I like to make a birthday photo session something we do every year, I am always so very glad I did it. Although they do take some bribes and convincing. We played on the playground after I dragged her around Trinity Park and then we went to Braum’s where I actually let her get an ice cream cone instead of ice cream in a cup. That was big news. The playground time was cut short due to nearly flying off the merry go round. She was on with two much older girls and I guess the force of gravity just slowly sucked her leg off and she was hanging on for dear life and screaming for me. I busted out my mom super strength and yanked the spinning metal to a quick halt. Blake was traumatized and told me the food was going around and around in her tummy. She gets motion sickness really easily, but every kid has to give the merry go round at least a try.
These were all shot with my shiny new Nikon D800 and a 50 mm 1.4 lens.
Now I just need to find the perfect spot in my house to put a few of these up.
