I might go so far to say that there has never been a more fun and amazing 13 year old in the history of the world. This girl is fearless, hysterical, full of personality and knows how to rock a photo shoot. Her mom surprised her on her 13th birthday waith getting her hair and makeup done and coming in for a photo session. We seriously had the best time, 2 hours flew by and her mom had to pretty much drag her out of the studio. We laughed, we joked, we cranked up Allie’s favorite music. At one point I showed her the back of my camera and she said, “wow! I am actually pretty!!” That was music to my ears! As a photographer, I want everyone to see the same beauty that I do. To look past the flaws we all seem to focus on and realize that they are photogenic, they are gorgeous and they are worthy of having beautiful images taken of them no matter what age they are! I think the 13 year old photo shoot should be done more often, moms tend to stop getting professional photos done of their children when they get older. This is a huge mistake, every kid deserves to be photographed, doted on, have it be all about them for an hour or two and capture that fabulous age whether it’s 5 or 15.
